Sacramental Preparation
Young people and their parents prepare for the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, Reconciliation and Confirmation. Sessions are conducted by Pastoral staff members with the assistance of lay volunteers from the Community. Classes meet throughout the year. A calender is distributed in early fall. Preparation is family-oriented and includes components for parents, guardians, and sponsors. Except for infant Baptism, all young people preparing for sacraments are expected to be enrolled in the Oratory School of Discipleship.
Cross and Candle Bearers
This ministry at the altar is an excellent way for children who have received their first communion, to support the liturgical life of the parish. It is an exciting way to participate in the Eucharist. For further information, please contact Fr. Anthony at 718-875-2096.
