Music
Whether it is through the singing of hymns, the appreciation for majestic organ solos or the preservation of chanted dialogue between priest and assembly, worship at the Oratory Church of Saint Boniface is enhanced - and even made possible by - music.
Of special importance for us is the tradition of choral singing. To that end, Dr. James Bowyer, Associate Director of Music/Choir Director, and Christopher J. Hatcher, Associate Director of Music/Organist, collaborate with the approximately 25 paid and volunteer members of the Oratory Choir in order to plan liturgical events that display a wide sampling of sacred music.

This repertoire spans from the treasures of Gregorian plainsong, through to the polyphonic masterpieces of the 15th and 16th centuries, to the impressive sung compositions of the Romantic era, and even to choral works composed in our own time.
